ALDI Adding Many New Gluten-Free Products to Shelves

Approximately 8% to 10% of people with type 1 diabetes[1] also have celiac[2], an autoimmune digestive disorder that is caused by eating foods that contain gluten, a type of protein found in grains such as wheat, rye and barley. If you’re living with celiac or a gluten intolerance, you’ll be excited to hear that ALDI, the first grocery store to offer their own private label line of gluten-free products with the liveGfree brand, is adding a variety of new gluten-free products to their shelves on May 8. It’s time to grab your reusable shopping bag and fill up your cart with these exciting items.

“ALDI has a wide range of products to stock your kitchen, including pantry and freezer items,” according to the supermarket. “From pizza and chicken nuggets to soft baked cookies and pretzel sticks, ALDI offers affordable options for those who are looking to avoid gluten.”

ALDI’s liveGfree gluten-free product line received the Good Housekeeping Seal, a symbol of quality assurance and consumer protection. Click here to find an ALDI store near you.[3]
