If a child in your family has Type 1 diabetes, then you may be interested in the Children With Diabetes “Friends for Life” conference, taking place July 6–12, 2015, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
The conference, which will be located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, will include top experts in the diabetes field, children who have diabetes, and their families, all coming together to “make new and lifelong friendships.” There will be scheduled presentations, discussion groups, health screenings, a scavenger hunt, and various other social and informational events.
Registration is $130 until March 30, $140 from March 31 through May 31, and $150 thereafter. (Children four and under are free). The registration fee covers conference attendance, shared meals, the Family and Friends Banquet, and one conference t-shirt.
Rooms at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort are available for $149 plus tax for the July 3 to July 13 time frame and can be reserved using the online reservation system.
