First-Ever “MasterLab” for Diabetes Advocates

Text Size:

Looking to get more involved in diabetes advocacy? Now’s your chance. The Diabetes Hands Foundation, in collaboration with Children With Diabetes, will be hosting the first-ever “MasterLab” to provide the tools you need to successfully champion for effective diabetes policy.

The conference will include a variety of classes and networking events, where participants will have the chance to meet health advocates and industry experts — including Kerri Sparling from SixUntilMe, Kelly Close and Adam Brown of DiaTribe, HIV/AIDS activist Mike Mangianello, and representatives from the FDA and companies such as Dexcom, Roche, Lilly, Sanofi, and Medtronic — to “learn what advocacy looks like and how to act on it effectively.”

The event will take place from 7 AM to 5 PM on July 2, 2014, at Marriott’s Orlando World Center in Orlando, Florida. The registration fee is $50 per person. (If you are registered for the Children With Diabetes Friends for Life conference, the MasterLab experience is free — send an e-mail to for a promotional code to use at MasterLab registration.)

A complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served at the event, and free samples of the calorie-free soda Zevia will be provided.
