If you’re from 18 to 30 years old and have Type 1 diabetes, then you may be interested in attending the upcoming Hodia DTreat 2016.
Taking place July 15–17 at the Boise Hotel and Conference Center in Boise, Idaho, the retreat provides participants “the opportunity to form relationships with others who get it, and talk truth about the issues facing people your age with T1D.” Topics covered in the discussions and workshop-style breakout sessions can run the gamut, from subjects such as leaving home to diabulimia to international travel. Time is also built into the program for mingling to reconnect or get to know new friends.
A support person, such as a roommate, sibling, best friend, or significant other from the ages of 18 to 30, is also welcome to attend with each participant.
Registration costs $90 until May 1, and covers lodging, meals, snacks, and workshop materials while at the event. After May 1, the price is $120. For more information, and to sign up, visit the Hodia website.
