Two well-regarded, nonprofit organizations, Taking Care of Your Diabetes (TCOYD) and the Behavioral Diabetes Institute (BDI), are teaming up to create the TCOYD Research Registry – and you can be a part of it! (Please note that you must be 18 years or older to participate.)
The goal is to conduct research studies to learn more about the problems experienced by people with diabetes and their families.
By agreeing to be in the registry, you are simply agreeing to receive information about research studies when they are ready to begin. You can decide at that time if you want to participate in a study; you’re under no obligation to participate in any study.
To register, go to www.tcoydresearchregistry.com. You will be asked to provide your name, street address, phone number, gender, diagnosis, date of birth, and such diabetes-related information as the type of diabetes you have and how you treat it. Your information will be handled as confidentially as possible: Access will be limited to the research registry manager and those who operate the registry.
There is no cost nor payment to you for being in the registry. However, some research studies may elect to provide payment to participants.
