November is just around the corner, and to help kick off Diabetes Awareness Month, we’d like to share with you some information about free screenings, products, and consultations as part of Rite Aid’s Diabetes Solutions Days.
On November 2, 3, and 4, the national pharmacy chain Rite Aid will be offering various free activities and products at select clinics. These include free screenings for blood glucose, total cholesterol, and blood pressure, as well as body mass index readings, personal pharmacist consultations, and diabetes risk assessments. In addition, there will be information and training available on how to use glucose meters. Rite Aid clinics will be offering free samples of and coupons for diabetes care products. Each location will also raffle a $50 gift card. Finally, Rite Aid has also developed a 20-page diabetes guide together with the American Diabetes Association, which you can find in all Rite Aid stores or download from their Web site.
These activities are geared towards providing advice, offers, and self-management solutions for those with diabetes, caregivers, and those who are concerned about developing diabetes. You can use the Diabetes Solutions Days locator to find out when the store closest to you is hosting its events.
